Alicia Schultz is an artist living in Portland, Oregon, USA. When she’s not making art, she can be found smelling the flowers with her two daughters. Alicia has been inspired by flowers for as long as she remembers but she especially started noticing them when she lived in New York City following college. The first signs of spring, witch hazel blooming in Central Park and the white magnolia tree on the next block over from her apartment, were always a welcomed sign of spring coming and the City coming back to life after cold winter days. While she wasn’t painting and drawing flowers in those days, she did (& still does) take lots of photos of flowers. Now, Alicia lives in the Pacific Northwest where flowers can be found blooming almost all year long. Her favorite flowers are peonies, but she is also a fan of dahlias, camellias, and magnolias. Alicia has been making art for most of her life and art journaling almost daily for the last two years. She’s a member of the 2018 Mess Makers team with Get Messy. Along with art journaling, Alicia creates stationery, paints abstracts and florals, illustrates, and hand letters.
