In this course you will create over 40 different types of pages using a large variety of tools, supplies and techniques.
Messy Pages includes tips for choosing the right journal, how to choose the best supplies and mediums for you, simple explanations for art journaling terms, supplies and how-to’s and examples and ideas on how to approach prompts to create pages. You will learn how to begin an art journal page by better understanding if your page needs gesso or not (and what the heck that even is). The course is jam packed with techniques and tutorials on how to use our favorite mediums like blending, calligraphy, gelli printing, using different pens and crayons (!!), inks, acrylics, collage, gel mediums, watercolours and so so so many more!
This course is perfect for the beginner art journaler who would like to have someone walk them through the basics of understanding all the art journal lingo like mediums and gesso and what in the world a gelli plate is.
The course will challenge an experienced art journaler who desires to learn more fluid and experimental art techniques like painting galaxies, dreamy clouds, using inks, creating abstract backgrounds and so much more.

Tanyalee is a mum to three grown up kids, a wife to her childhood sweetheart, a full time graphic designer and a part time crafter/art journaler. She loves growing veggies to feed her family, loves raising her fur babies and loves spending her spare time just pottering around her house. Tanyalee LOVES being at home more than anything else – as long as her family is nearby and her paintbrush is in her hand.

A: The class is hosted on a private site, the content also comes in a PDF format with embedded videos and a workbook. There is also an option to have this beautiful workbook printed professionally through Blurb. Information about how to have the book printed is available in the course.
Q: Do I have to start on a specific date?
A: No, this is a self-paced class. You start when you are ready and work according to your own rhythm.
Q: How long will it take to complete this course?
A: This is a very large class and will take you a decent amount of time to work through each video and create pages based on each technique taught. It will be a course that you can refer back to for a very long time as you progress through your art journaling career.

A: Yes! When you purchase the course you receive access to the private site where all of the content is hosted.

Q: What do I need for this class?
A: You will need an art journal and some basic supplies. There is an extensive supply list in the introduction to the class and within each lesson. But most supplies you will have if you have art journaled before or they can be easily attained or substituted for supplies you have on hand.
